At first, after Queen Madrina's reign everyone was happy and the economy and the arts prospered, with no immediate enemies to fight. However, as time passed the government became more restrictive, taking away freedoms one by one and arbitrarily arresting people. The excuse given was the Sabayon terrorist movement. Soldiers were sent against them, but suspiciously in every battle all the soldiers died, with their bodies nowhere to be found. As time passed, this gradually got worse.
